Vehicle Protection Association (VPA) Announces Certification of Carhill Enterprises

Carhill Enterprises has enhanced business processes, company policies and staff training to meet VPA standards of conduct and comply with federal and state laws as part of the certification process.

Selbyville, DE, December 9, 2010 -- The Vehicle Protection Association (VPA), an association formed to promote regulatory transparency, education and accountability for marketing and servicing automotive service contracts, announced today that Carhill Enterprises has been certified by the VPA.

Carhill Enterprises achieved industry certification after a thorough evaluation. Because the vehicle service contracts industry is strongly committed to deterring bad actors, maintaining industry integrity and to treating consumers right, the association has set the bar high for certification.

"We have invested considerable time and resources in this certification process in order to let our consumers know that we looking out for their best interests and honestly representing the services we provide," saidJohn Carroll, President of Carhill Enterprises. "As a company, we are strongly committed to protecting consumers and providing the most fair and honest service possible."

"The VPA's Certification-Audit Program allows consumers to determine whether a service contract vendor is in compliance with our organization's Standards of Conduct," said Larry Hecker, executive director of VPA. “VPA certification is an extremely rigorous process, and customers of Carhill Enterprises can rest easy, knowing that the firm complies with the VPA Standards of Conduct, which are designed to ensure fair treatment of consumers."

As part of the Certification-Audit Program, companies must submit to a third-party for review. The evaluation includes an on-site audit to ensure that applicants are in compliance with federal and state laws and that they are upholding the Standards of Conduct established by the Vehicle Protection Association. In addition to an on-site audit, companies also complete a self evaluation. If they pass through all of the rigorous evaluations, they can display the Vehicle Protection Association Certification logo on their marketing materials as a sign to consumers that they are a good company to work with.
